MatE 362 and MatE 362L - Principles of Nondestructive Testing and Laboratory
I took this class to fulfill a technical elective course, but after I finished this class I realized that I had learned a great deal and I was curious to learn more about nondestructive techniques. This is the reason why I selected the ACPD project as my senior design project. As a part of the class, we were asked to research a topic in NDE and write a report on the topic. I selected SQUIDs (Superconducting Quantum Interface Drivers) for eddy current testing as my topic. This final report is available below. For the labs, we investigated and experimented with a number of different NDE testing techniques including magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing, Rockwell hardness testing, X-ray, dye-penetrants, and eddy current testing. These reports are available below.
Reports available in Microsoft Word format.
