EE 414 - Microwave Circuits

Finished Circuit Final completed circuit

For this class I worked on a number of different labs on many different microwave circuits. My group's design frequency of 1.2 GHz was used to build an RF amplifier with the following specifications: gain approximately 10 dB, bandwidth of +/- 5 MHz, stability from DC to 6 GHz, and an input impedence of 50 ohms. We also built a two pole, quarter wavelength Butterworth filter with a 4% bandwidth. We also designed an oscillator to drive the amplifier to output approximately 50 mW. A bias circuit was designed and built to improve stability of the amplifier.

Our circuit met most of the specifications set above and all circuits operated successfully. A short powerpoint presentation shown below further defines our results.
