Contributions to Senior Design

For this project, all of my fellow team members and I have completed several different types of tasks. A lot of the project was difficult to split up as many of the tasks required more than one or two people to complete. One of the tasks I took on by myself was to research a high frequency current driver. After discussing with our advisors, I found that CDNE already had a high frequency lock-in amplifier, but it was without a high frequency linear amplifier. Therefore, the scope of this task was limited to researching a high frequency linear amplifier. First I analyzed the option of building the amplifier, but with the time constraints and difficulty involved it was determined that it would be more time and cost effective to purchase one. As a result, I researched different manufacturers of amplifiers and turned that information over to our advisor for purchase. Unfortunately, this amplifier has not been ordered yet and the team has determined that there will not be enough time to test our probes on the high frequency setup.

As a part of the group, we worked on in the lab on setting up our tests. We also spent a great deal of time researching options for building our probes, ordering materials, as well as designing the probe and making modifications to the probes. Some of the other tasks I took on for the team was making diagrams for our many reports using Visio. I also wrote many parts of the these reports, most of which appear towards the end of each report.
